How It All Began
I've always believed that authentic crystals have a way of finding us when we need them most, offering calm, clarity, and connection in ways that words can't always explain. My own journey began years ago on a family trip to Bancroft, Ontario, Canada's official mineral capital, where I bought my very first little piece of amethyst. I can still remember the sunlight glinting off the sparkling stone, alive with quiet energy. I had no way of knowing, but that piece of crystal was going to change the entire course of my future by opening my eyes to the beauty, history, and power hidden within the earth.
From Spark to Calling
Over time, that initial spark grew into something much deeper and more personal. I started attending the Bancroft Gemboree whenever I could, learning from miners, collectors, artists and even metaphysical enthusiasts who shared my love for crystals. I learned that crystals aren't just beautiful objects; they're living reminders of balance, strength, and connection. Each one tells a unique story, and I felt a calling to share those stories in a way that could help others feel the same sense of wonder and emotional connection that I had found.
Finding My True Path
Before starting EarthGlo Gems, and like most of us, I followed a much more traditional path in my life when it came to pretty much everything, but then came to realize that I felt a constant pull toward something more authentic, a higher calling to do work that truly reflected who I am and what I believe in. So, I took a blind leap of faith, followed my heart, and EarthGlo Gems was born!
